with us tonight, folks. sandy is expected to make landfall at this hour on the coast of new jersey. the storm is now a post tropical cyclo cyclone. the path on the northeast corridor has been slow and moving very wide. hundreds of thousands of people in coastal areas have been evacuated up and down the east coast. this is a live shot from delaware. we'll get a live update from the shoreline in just a moment. authorities say new york city and long island could get the worst of the storm surge. sea water could rise up to 11 feet. the damage from sandy was on display hundreds of feet above manhattan today. you're seeing a youtube video of a crane collapsing on the 57th street high-rise. city officials say workers would not be able to access the crane to keep it from falling. at this hour, the crane is still hanging in the air over the city. reside residents of the nearby buildings and businesses have been evacuated. beach front communities already experienced flooding and massive water damage. this shot is from seaside heights, new jersey. in atlantic city, large chunks of boardwalk w

to vote for? these are telling me that the tactics that president obama is using, talking about diners, bayonets and big birds, they're rubbing people the wrong way. in part because they want to focus on jobs in the economy, which is this big, darker issue that the country is facing right now. it's worrying people a lot. and so, the idea that he can talk about things like the binders comment, which is really just a play off a comment that mitt romney made during the presidential debate, where he talks about his desire to hire a lot of women. and it's not helping him. i think that's reflected in the poll numbers because you're seeing right now romney is tied, or seems to have a kind of momentum moving into the time week. that's just what pollsters are saying. i think democrats feel that this will help particularly with women voters, because they make up the majority, and if they can kind of put forward this argument that mitt romney wants to take away somethings that are very important to them, then they can get the edge amongst that party leck rate. which in a very close election can b

has coined romnesia. he should keep using it. sometimes the republicans have had such great success with turns of phrase such as swift voting, the quick one off to think a certain way about a certain person. romnesia is the perfect way to describe exactly what afflicts mitt romney when it comes to his own record. day we have an interesting round of good news for the president which is he has gotten endorsements today from the denver post, the tampa bay times. the salt city tribune. yes, the salt city tribune, an utah paper endorsing obama. that's good for him. he seems to have stopped the bleeding according to a lot of polls, however he has got to go into the next debate, the next set of questions and smile. we need a president who sat there and smile, we need the president reassure us. when we see him smile everybody is happy. he has a number of things he needs to talk about. the supreme court, climate change, iraq and the fiscal cliff. he has not talked at all about the fiscal cliff. it is coming. whoever is elected will be totally responsible for that. he went on "the daily thoug
